POSEIDON’S GIFTS

The simple are the most extraordinary things

and only the wise can see them

Paulo Coelho

Whales! Lots of them! I was looking out to sea as usual through my binoculars - always on the search for what is rare  - sea birds, whales, seals, when my young grandson, Jack, came running up to me -  LOOK, GRANNY…. TREASURES, he exclaimed and handed me broken shells, fish bones and sea weed.  I lowered my binoculars to see that what I had never noticed, is “treasure” through the eyes of a child. We spent the afternoon exploring in the sand and he showed me the beauty in what the Sea God brings forth. I now return several times a week to look for treasures.  Poseidon’s gift to me is the gift of sight.
